A More Appropriate Grading System than GPA

A More Appropriate Grading System than GPA
We all know what GPA is, or grade point average. However, what I suggest is that a more meaningful, but also more complex grading system could be used. GPA is like an overall score, but what about those classes that are perhaps more logic and reasoning centered verses those which are verbally centered. That is, I suggest that the current system is possibly overlooking some people at college. Most classes tend to be either logic/reasoning centered or verbally centered, but very few are in between. This is virtually absurd. What of the person that neither excels at verbal nor logic/reasoning, but can do well enough at both to get by. These are the people that are truly creative, the ones that can create in the areas of logic and reason for instance. Traditionally, we have said, one is either right brain dominant or left brain dominant, and we give them a major and an overall GPA score, but what if we scored GPA in tiers, separating the logic and reasoning class scores from the verbal scores in two (or more) different GPAs, and letting employers know the scores on both, such that they could possibly identify a different type of job candidate, the multidimensional applicant.
GPA, logic, reason, verbal, job applicant, multidimensional
