The idea that we and our children are going to be able to pay off the national debt is a nonstarter. It just can’t happen. Every American, every man’s, every woman’s, and even every child’s share in the national debt is roughly $50,000 and increasing quickly. That is, if you belong to a 3 person family, your family’s share in the debt is $150,000. The amount of money a 20 person family would owe is $1,000,000. Most people don’t have that much money. Most people are scraping just to get by.
My car cost $7,000. If the national debt were to be divided equally amongst every American citizen, then I would owe about 6 cars worth of debt to the government. Catch my drift that, such exorbitant numbers are absurd. We might as well be indentured servants because our debt is so great.
It’s not that America needs to work harder. Most of us already work hard. It is that our money isn’t worth a lot, which has many factors. For example, that we drink too much soda, and that most of America has an obesity issue is among the legion of things that we as Americans need to improve.
One is surely jest if he or she thinks that we are going to be able to pay off the national debt, well maybe not? There are ways of paying off the national debt. China for example plays with the value of that its money trades for. Why shouldn’t we do the same?
We could print a couple trillion dollar bills and mail them to China. Yes, that’s it! print $1,000,000,000,000 bills. How could we do that? Easy, we could do it the same way we make $1 bills, just put a couple zeros on the bill. This is because America’s currency does not have a standard.
Our money is worth as much as we conceive it to be worth. Why should we conceive that our dollar is worth less if we mail China several trillion dollar bills? We will still need stuff and our demand for stuff will ensure that we get it. In fact, I would say our money is actually worth nothing at all, but the legal system is set up to protect idolaters that won’t give what we ask for. We call it stealing if you show up to the store, and walk out with the goods when you haven’t forked over the dough. Such activity is a way to prison. And, prison is a free meal ticket. However, it is my belief that Gd provides for those who need to be provided for. Everyone gets what he or she needs provided that he or she does something in return for it.
Thus, it is such that rather than worrying about the deficit, perhaps, we should be increasing it. For example, we could put people to work via the military. Having a strong military is key to defense. Other countries may want to go to war with us if we print trillion dollar bills and mail them to them as a way to pay off our debt. Sorry China, there ain’t anywhere you can break a trillion dollar bill. It’s too big. Not even the treasury can break a bill that big.
What we want to do is to make sure that people who are contributing get something in return for their contributions. We also need to make sure that charity is given as well. Our government is modeled on Judeo-Christian ethics. Thus, it makes sense that if we have government, taxes should be 30% for the rich, with the option of spending up to 40%. This money that the rich are taxed should be divided three ways, according to what the laws of the Bible says. However, some people should not pay this much of a percentage. 10% of the money that is taxed goes to Gd. That 10% is the tithe and that is included in this 30% figure.
Most people don’t understand money, and it shouldn’t be required that one is able to understand what a trillion dollars in one dollar bills is. So, my suggestion is that government play stupid, not flinching emotions when using amounts such a million, a billion, or a trillion. A trillion dollars should roll very easily off of the tongues of politicians. There is no reason to get down on ourselves over this issue. We shouldn’t demand depression of our people over this. This is something that can be worked out. Thus, the money is only a means to achieve an end. The end is that we work hard to be successful as a nation, but that we don’t work so hard that we bust ourselves up.
