I selected these seven because I think they are the easiest.

1. Your brain consists primarily of salt and fat. It should be obvious that to fix your brain, what you need is the correct salt and fat balance. This is why that fast food burger helps you feel so good. However, unless you are in a pinch, I do not recommend the fast food burger.
2. Get pets: Especially, those need a sun lamp. Set sunlamp (UVA/UVB@petstore) on 24hr daylight cycle. These off and on timers are generally not available at pet stores though. You might have to shop around for one. Sun lamps will help your body create vitamin D and 5-HT, which will help you feel better.
3. Vitamins: Consider taking a multivitamin.
4. Allergies and intolerances: Some people should not eat certain foods or use certain products. Often, these foods are either addictive and/or poor tasting. Definitely avoid or reduce the intake of sugars. For example, eat whole foods, and cut down on addictive refined foods like Twinkies.
5. Have a cup of coffee in the morning.
6. Eat a low carbohydrate diet with whole grains. Frozen vegetables are often a good source for nutrients.
7. Humidity: Having moist air often helps salts in the air enter your body and reduces static electricity. Use an aquarium and/or a humidifier! There is nothing like a hot steamy shower!
8. Too much of anything is probably a bad thing.
9. There are many other things you can do. For example, getting counseling, socializing, and exercising are other ways to relieve depression.
